Karren Comer began her working career at Community Hospital in Tyler, Texas in 1980 working in the admissions office. She was promoted to office manager in 1982 overseeing insurance claims and collections.

In 1983, Karren moved to Bryan-College Station and became traffic manager for the Culpepper Radio stations. She oversaw the scheduling and placement of radio commercials for each day of the week. She handled the programming of the AM station automation system.

Moving back to Tyler with her family in 1985, Karren began homeschooling her children. In 2004, when her children were older, she re-entered the workforce at Broadcast Works. She continued her education completing a course in Accounting, Business and became Quick Books certified. She then assumed all the managerial and accounting duties for Broadcast Works. June 1, 2009, Karren became the majority owner/partner of Broadcast Works.

Karren Comer is an accomplished small business owner and manager. She helped forge and execute the purchase of Broadcast Works in April of 2004 and has been active in setting company goals and meeting financial objectives. Broadcast Works has been successful for many years. As a small business owner, she understands the value of customer service and the reality of competition.
